Since beginning his career in high-performance cycling in 1995 and transitioning to a GB national coach in 1998, Simon has contributed to over 60 major international events, including the Tour de France and the Olympics, coaching Tour de France stage winners and Olympic medalists. His coaching philosophy emphasises a rider-first approach, collaboration, and a detailed performance plan, underlining the importance of the coach-rider relationship in achieving peak performance through support, challenge, and continuous feedback.
